Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest in background, Temple of Heaven complex, Beijing, China, Asia
The Temple of Heaven is a large comples of historical buildings in southeastern Beijing, in Xuanwu District. Construction of the complex began in 1420, and was thereafter visited by all subsequent Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Hall Of Prayer for the Good Harvest is an important temple, with carved and painted wooden timbers and three tiers of decorated roofs in pagoda form.
