(After Fritsch.) Genus ICHTHYERPETUM, Huxley1. Syn. Erpetocephalus, Huxley2. Apparently very closely allied to Nyrania, but the epiotic cornua less produced laterally, and the orbits relatively larger. Palate unknown. Whether these slight differences are sufficient to justify the generic distinctness of Nyrania may be doubtful. The present genus was founded upon the evidence of the vertebral column, while Eupetocejphalus was based upon that of the skull, but it was sug- gested in the original description that the two might prove to be identical. 1 Trans.
