He is trying William Eccles and Commodore among the new carnations. Among visitors the last week were Thomas Knight, New York; A. Bald- win, representing C. H, Totty, Madi- son, N. J.; W. E. Pierson, Cromwell, Conn.; F, G. Sealey, Eutherford, N. J.; C. S. Strout, Biddeford, Me.; F. C. Green, Providence, E. I. Penn's, on Bromfield street, had in one of their windows a November bride carrying one of Penn's famous shower bouquets of valley. The set- tings were white chrysanthemums and palms tastefully arranged. About every other passer-by seemed to stop and examine the window. Galvin, on Tremont street, had a fine display of cut orchids in his win- dows last week, in addition to garde- nias, mums and valley. H. W. Vose, of Hyde Park, is one of the largest growers ofXiosmos Lady Lenox locally. He is "^tting quan- tities of white, yellow and pink Ivory chrysanthemums. A. H. Knight, of Shrewsbury, is making a hit. with Chrysanthemum Eo- man Gold. He also has a fine crop of carnations. P. and W. O. Jahn, of East Bridge- water, are carnation specialists. This season they are having splendid suc- cess with Pink and White Enchantress, Beacon and Pink Delight. Albert Batley, of Maynard; J. T. Gale, of Tewksbury, and J. H. Leach & Son, of North Easton, are all large shippers of Bonnaffons to the local markets now. The Halifax Garden Co. is having splendid success with Carnation Mrs. HUGO H. JAHN 710 N
