The tournament was part of the 101 Days of Summer Program, which provide various events throughout the summer for service members at MCB Hawaii to promote competition between units and responsible alcohol consumption and eliminate drug abuse. Service members could earn points for their unit by participating in this and the other program activities. The three highest-earning large and small units at the end of the summer will receive prize money toward their unit’s discretionary fund. The mission of MCB Hawaii is to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
