A Muun Chin woman with face tattoos and deer tooth necklace and her daughter, Mindat, Myanmar. The tribal Chin women had their faces tattooed when they were around 15 years old, purportedly to protect them from being carried away by marauding men. The practice is now banned, and they are the last of their kind.
