At the annual meeting, held April 8, a communication was receivedfrom Dr. J. M. Henriquez, Buenos Ayres, S. A., accompanied by aspecimen of dental abnormality,—gemmated molars,—shown in theillustrations, which he presented to the society. The doctor gave thefollowing history of the case : The patient, a lad aged sixteen, anative of Corunna, Spain, sought relief at his hands from a severetoothache on the right side of the inferior maxilla. The small toothoccupied the place of the sixth-year molar. On examination, the twoteeth were found to be attached, and it was decided to remove them, Fig. i. Fig. which was done without difficulty. Fig. 1 is a perspective view ofthe anomaly, and Fig. 2 shows approximately in section the loss bycaries, and the confluence of the pulp-canals of the united teeth. Thedoctor had previously extracted a superior left first molar which wasquite normal, and the patient said that other molars which had beenextracted did not present any abnormality. B. C.
