Runners on the Three Forts Challenge on their way to Chanctonbury Ring in West Sussex.
Runners make their way up the South Downs Way long distance path, here running west of Steyning Bowl, towards Chanctonbury Ring in the Three Forts Marathon / Challenge. The Three Forts Marathon / Challenge (also known as the Tough One), an annual charity event, provides a competition for athletes to run a full marathon taking in Cissbury Ring, Devil's Dyke, Chanctonbury Ring and then back via Cissbury Ring. There is also a Half Marathon which only takes in Cissbury Ring and Chanctonbury Ring. A five mile walk is also catered for. The South Downs Way caters for all at all times so here we have two cyclists in amongst the runners.
