The Palace of Knossos was the ceremonial and political centre 0f the Minoan civilization and culture. Discovered in 1878 it was excavated and restorated mainly from 1900 to 1935 by Arthur Evans. He found also lots of famous frescoes. Der Palast von Knossos war das religiöse und politische Zentrum der minoischen Zivilisation. Der Palast wurde 1878 entdeckt und von 1900 bis 1935 von Arthur Evans ausgegraben und restaurtiert. Der Archäologe entdeckte auch etliche Freskos.
