Gateshead Millennium Bridge on the River Tyne pedestrian and cycle bridge linking the re-developed waterfronts of Gateshead and Newcastle. Arriving on the Tyne by barge in November 2000 the bridge was eventually opened to the public on the 17th September 2001.
