In splendid isolation the Mavora Lakes stretch between the Livnigstone and the Thomson Mountains in the Southern Alpes in New Zealand. Along the shores parts of the movie "Lord of the Rings were produced. In der Einsamkeit der Südalpenliegen die Mavora-Seen zwischen den Thomson- und den Livingstone-Berge in den Südalpen Neuseelands. An ihren Ufern wurden einige Szenen des Kinofilms "Herr der Ringe" gedreht.
