1946 bronze Pioneer Family Statue by Avard Fairbanks and the 1934 Art Deco North Dakota State Capitol building in Bismarck, North Dakota. Harry F. McClean railroad builder of Ontario, Canada commissioned the sculpture in honor of his father John A. McLean. John A. McLean was a pioneer resident, Bismarck's first elected mayor, and the man for whom McLean County, North Dakota was named.
