Rinchen Khandro, a Buddhist nun from the Samye Ling community in southern Scotland, chatting to retreat's master Lama Yeshe Losal, on board the tiny passenger ferry from Arran to Holy Island, where the former model, songwriter and fashion designer will spend the next three years in retreat with 11 other women. Her journey to the retreat involves a three-hour drive, two ferry crossings and almost an hour's walk on Holy Island, which is owned by the Buddhist order.
