Pers glacier and Bernina mountains, Swiss Alps. The peak left of centre is Piz Palu (3900 metres), right of centre is Piz Bernina ( metres). Glacier recession as a result of climate change is evident from the larger outcrops and more pronounced moraine cover on the lower part of the glacier.
