Saint Joseph's Oratory is a basilica dedicated to, as the name suggests, Saint Joseph. The basilica was designed by architects Dalbé Viau and Alphonse Venne and built in the Italian Renaissance style. Construction started in 1924 and completed after 43 years. Saint Joseph's Oratory is the largest church in Canada and its copper dome is the highest point in Montreal, the dome is also the third-largest of its kind in the world after the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro and Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome.
