Parry Lagoons near Wyndham is a RAMSAR-listed wetland in the East Kimberley that provides important habitat for migrating birds. The Kapok bush is endemic to northwest Australia including the Kimberley region and NT. Indigenous groups say when the bush flowers freshwater crocodiles lay their eggs. The flowers can be eaten raw.
