A heavy cavalry sword M 1826 for officers of the Russian cuirassiers, a so-called "golden weapon", awarded for bravery Fullered single-edged blade. Fire-gilt brass bar hilt with three side bars, two of them with Cyrillic engraving (tr.) "For Bravery". On the shell guard struck Russian maker's stamp "Borgman", steel scabbard with gilt brass mounts. Length cm. Attached sword-knot of the Order of St. George. Good condition. Very rare. Cf. A.
