BUt' The Market. The glut of last- week continues. Shipments are larger. Practically any kind of stock can be had at extremely low prices. Considering the hot weath- er, carnations and roses are arriving in fair shape. Peonies are as plentiful as ever. During the week some of them could be had at the buyer's price. Some carnations have again found their way to the market, where they retailed at 35 cents per bunch of twenty-five. The stores, with few exceptions, are holding prices steady in anticipation of a shortage of stock as soon as the first crop of outdoor flowers is over. Many of the stores featured carnations and peonies Saturday, June 14, at 50 cents per dozen. The days have been so hot that the public has not been interested in anything much, with the exception of weddings, for which the decorations are liberal. Many fine wedding orders have been filled during the last month and many more are booked. Wedding trade has been far better this season than ever before. F. P. A. CIiEVEIJ^ND. The Market. The market continues slow with the exception of Saturdays, which, as a rule, are now busy days since the wholesalers have kept closed on Sundays. Flowers have been plentiful during the last week, especially carnations and peonies, which have arrived in exceptionally large quantities, due to the extremely warm weather. Florists predict that, if this weather keeps up, flowers will all come in a pile and then stock will get scarce within a few weeks. The weath- er has been so warm that if it does not rain soon, things will be literally burned up
