Air flow over a plane. Supercomputer model of turbulent air flow over the wings of a delta-wing aircraft. The air flow is shown as the spiralling streams, indicating that vortices of air have formed. Using computer-aided design to model aircraft before their construction allows time and expense to be saved. Problems can be noticed and corrected before any prototypes are built.
