Warren Street, the presentJudge Streets father, became the manager,and so continued for many years. Mr. JamesHamilton succeeded Mr. Street, and con-tinued as manager till the failure of the bankin the 60s. Later on the Commercial andthe Gore Banks founded branches in London,and the system of barter that formerly pre-vailed gradually went out of existence,though the order plan of paying wageslingered on till who shall say it finally dis-.
