Coast Guard Helicopter to the Rescue. Dispensary attendants remove the "Rescue" victim from a litter strapped to a helicopter after the Coast Guard pilot had completed a flight to sea and back to demonstrate the value of the helicopter for such missions. Its ability to drop vertically to the surface of the sea and then rise straight in the air makes the helicopter an effective rescue craft, the Coast Guard found in the experiment.
