It will makethe finest of cold slaw, and can be used forsmall amounts of kraut. Each rotation of the disc makes two cuts,and the food drops into the plate or pan atthe foot. The point of equal thickness is a very important one, for, if one slice isthick, and one thin, you will not get evencooking, or even color in the cooking. Theadjustment for making the slices thick orthin is very simple. The blade of the slicer is of temperedknife-steel, and is so protected that only bygross carelessness can the operator cut him-self. A pusher is provided to feed thearticle to be cut, but, at the start, for a longcucumber, it can be thrown back out of theway, but still remain attached to the ma-chine.
