After thegarment has been drafted, traced and cut out, the next thing to bedone is to baste it up properly, for if it is not rightly basted no garmentcan be expected to fit well. When this has been done a perfect-fittinggarment is guaranteed in all cases, without the slightest change ofseam. Move the Square, place the Short Arm online 1 ; the Lengthof Shoulder, as represented by Back Shoulder Scale at the junction oflines 1 and 2. (If the Shoulder Measure is more than seven inches,place the figure 7 of the scale at the junction of lines 1 and 2, anddraw line 3 at Long Arm of Square from line 1.) 6.
