'Miss Rita Jolivet', c1903. Rita Jolivet (1890-1971), English actress, 1911-1912. Jolivet was a silent film actress whose career spanned from 1914 to 1926. During that time she made only 20 films. She was a passenger on the RMS 'Lusitania' when it was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-boat in the Atlantic Ocean on May 7 1915. From Penrose's Pictorial Annual 1903-4, edited by William Gamble. [A.
