Dutch Reformed Church, Huguenot Road, Franschhoek, South Africa
The Dutch Reformed Church in Franschhoek, South Africa. It was built in 1947, an organ was installed in 1923, the presbytery was renovated in 1926 and the church underwent restoration in 1967-68. From 1929 the services were conducted in Afrikaans instead of dutch as they had been up to then. Franschhoek is a small town near Stellenbosch and is in wine country. It was settled by French Huguenots and the town's name means 'French corner' in Dutch.
