Temple at the ruins of the ancient city of Gaochang near Tulufan (Turpan) in China's Xinjiang province. Gaochang was founded in the 7th Century during the Tang dynasty and became the Uighur capital in 850. The city is sometimes known as Khocho or Kharakhoja.
