Throne used by Queen Victoria during the official opening of new buildings at Lincoln's Inn, one of the Inns of Court at Holborn in London. 'The state chair prepared for Her covered with crimson velvet, and has affixed to its back a canopy covered with crimson cloth; upon the former are emblazoned the Royal arms of the Tudor period, and the latter is richly embroidered with gold ', a'...sumptuous specimen of the upholsterer's art.'
