A monument commemorating battle action between German and Polish forces in World War II is on the Vistula River at the site where 182 Polish soldiers held out for 7 days against the German army in September 1939, defending a nearby ammunition depot. There is a large carvel or replica tall masted ship which takes passengers around the coastline.
