More than $200,000 of ammunition is divested to Iraqi forces from the Ministry of Defense at Al Asad Air Base on May 26, 2021. The ammunition divestment is part of an ongoing program called “CTEF,” or the Counter-ISIS Train and Equip Fund, which has made it possible for the Iraqi military to conduct independent counter-Daesh operations and to provide the security conditions necessary for proper governance and stabilization activities.
