NOSTRADAMUS- PREDICTED EVENTS. The Roman ruins, about a mile to the south of St Remy, where Nostradamus was born, border on the grounds of Saint Paul Mausole. Here the painter Van Gogh worked for a while, and was incarcerated in the insane asylum alongside the church. Nostradamus referred to this place in no fewer than six quatrains: he was of the opinion that a hidden treasure would be discovered here. Quatrain refers to the ancient Roman mausoleum of Sextius Lucius Marcius (shown here). This reference is found also in 8:34
