Barrio del Huerto francés in Cañete de las torres in Cordoba province, Andalusia, southern Spain. The municipality of Cañete de las Torres with barely 3,000 inhabitants, is located about 49 kilometers east of Córdoba, already on the border with the province of Jaén. Its landscape represents an amalgamation of extensive olive groves, wheat fields and sunflowers. As one goes deeper into the urban nucleus, its narrow and winding streets begin to appear that give shelter to its typical whitewashed houses. Among its monuments, the Tower stands out, a relic of the old medieval castle, built in the first half of the 14th century on a Muslim fortress, now incorporated into the Plaza de Andalucía, and La Tercia, an 18th-century industrial building. The presence of the Iberian castro of "El Real", from the Ibero-Turdetan period, is also significant.
