For private grounds they are quite indis- pensable, as well as for larger work. Several of the sorts are especially commendable for par. ticular purposes, as mentioned in connection with their descriptions. PRICES quoted are for stock of the usual size, varying in height according to the natural vigor, habit of growth, or rarity of the variety offered. [Japanese Lily of the Valley Tree.] 3 ft. May. A newly intro- duced Japanese form, with narrower foliage, taking on pleasing autumnal tints and pendulous spikes of pure white flowers.
