Showing the anchorages for the steel suspension cables. It is the lightest and most slender suspension bridge in the World. The main steel box section span is 623m making it the longest in Norway, the sixth in Europe, and 24th in the world. The two reinforced concrete towers are 108m high. The highest point of the carriageway is 49m above sea level. Krifast is the name of the project providing a fixed connection from Kristiansund and island of Frei to the mainland.
