The beautifulold town, which every one knows from the report oftravellers, one yet finds possessed of the uncommunicablecharm which keeps it for ever novel to the visitor. Lyingupon either side ot the broad Arno, it mirrors in the floodarchitecture almost as fair and noble as that glassed in theCanalazzo, and its other streets seemed as tranquil as thecanals of Venice.
