Luthier, Jiri Hron repairing a 1690 Giovanni Grancino violin at his small shop tucked away in a narrow cobbled stone street, Michalska, a stone’s throw from Old Town Square in Prague in the Czech Republic. Jiri has been in his family business since 1991. He is one of Prague’s main specialist musical instrument dealers and luthiers who specialise in restoring and repairing antique musical instruments such Violins, Violas, Cellos, Double Basses & Bows. Jiri is also a collector and expert on musical instruments. Because of his expertise, Jiri has a long list of clients mainly from Prague’s top orchestras. Jimi learnt his musical skills at the Prague conservatory, a musical academy for professional musical and theatrical artists.
