It is uniform in size and shape; the flesh is solid, bright red, very tender and sweet. Pkt., 10 cts.; oz., 15 cts.; \ lb., 45 cts.; lb., $ Cole's Early. An early, oval-shaped variety. Large heart, flesh of fine texture and good flavor. It grows to a medium size and the skin is green with light stripes. Pkt., 5 cts.; oz., 15 cts.; \ lb., 40 cts,; lb., $ Blue Gem, or Iceberg. (See cut.) An excellent variety, which is similar in shape to the well-known Kolb's Gem, but has darker skin. The Melons grow to large size. The heart is large, and flesh a beautiful shade of pink, darker than Kolb's r Gem, extends close to the outer skin, and is of sweet flavor.
