David Bracken entrepreneur who makes his living buying and selling on Ebay. David Brackin and his business partner Fraser started their eBay career 11 years ago with nothing but a camera and some bubble wrap. Back in those days, people thought of internet shopping as a “wild west” and it was avoided by many. Ebay - which is 20 this year - was a far smaller auction site. His company which went by the name “Stuff U Sell”, had spotted an opportunity and sold anything and everything online – doing the packing and selling – for a healthy 30pc cut of the sale price. In the first year the pair sold £5,000 worth of goods, making less than £2,000 between them. But as demand for their services ratcheted up, the business grew and by year two they had started employing people to move and pack the items. PHOTO:JEFF GILBERT. Acton, North West London, UK
