Soldiers from the Army West Point Benny Havens Band performed for the public in various locations throughout New York City for the Army’s 242nd Birthday June 14th, 2017. The band played its final score in front of Castle Clinton at The Battery in downtown Manhattan. The crowd sang along and interacted with the band during the live performance. The band members participating in the celebration were Sgt. Major Scott Drewes, Master Sgt. Dan Pierce, Staff Sgt. Geoff Vidal, Staff Sgt. Jongyoon Lee, and Staff Sgt. Jeremy Gaynor.
