The regiment was commanded by a colonel,lieutenant-colonel, or major, and the squadron by a captain(Rittmeister) with three or four subalterns and 146 men,and 142 horses in peace. The war strength of the squad-ron was about 150 troopers. The officers and superior non-commissioned officerscarried saber and automatic pistol.
