This floral Carnival costume is just one of the many different types of costume worn during the street parade on the opening day of the annual Bali Arts Festival. A colorful event with participants from all over the Indonesian island of Bali coming together from the various regency's to perform in front of crowds of spectators dressed in Carnival costume or the more traditional costume which is synonymous with Balinese culture. This Balinese street parade is one not to be missed as it shows the best of Bali's regions during the procession through the city streets of Denpasar to the unique sounds of Gamelan music.
