War of Independence, Sodus Point Mural, Wayne County, New York State

On the morning of June 19, 1813, British troops attacked, looted and burnt the town of Sodus in Wayne County, New York. The mural by James Zeger commemorates the battle. Connected to this is this wall plague `The Blessing of the Murals` and the church opposite, recording how the shadow of the church spire touches each of the Americans in turn as it transitions across the mural during the Summer Solstice.
