Aialik Glacier Kenai Fjords National Park Alaska USA
The south coast of Alaska is indented by a large number huge fjords that form enormous and very well protected bays. All are very beautiful, but few are as spectacular as Aialik Bay in Kenai Fjords National Park, near Seward, in which a number of glaciers pour down from the Harding Icefield above to the sea. This image shows a view of Aialik Glacier, reaching the sea at the innermost point of Aialik Bay, seen from a sightseeing boat as it leaves the area.
