Emmanuel Hédon, born April 30, 1863 in Burie (Charente-Maritime, former Charente-Inférieure) and died March 8, 1933 in Montpellier, was a French doctor and physiologist, professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier and member of the Academy of Medicine. He is considered one of the precursors of modern endocrinology by participating in highlighting the endocrine role of the pancreas.
