Spectacular cascades (cataracts) falling over 1000 ft. cliffs of solid rock with a few plants at north end of Cataract Cove (Kenai Peninsula, Alaska).


Cataract cove was named by the 1928 Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) field party "for the spectacular cascades (cataracts) falling over 1000 ft. cliffs at north end of cove." It is located on W coast of Harris Peninsula, N of Crater Bay, 30 mi. SW of Seward, Chugach Mts. mile long (59° 42' 51" N, 149° 49' 2" W).
