The other arises from the an-terior part of the inferior margin ofthe zygomatic process of the temporalbone, and is inserted into the neckin advance of the other. The inter-nal ligament arises from the extremityof the spinous process of the sphenoidbone, and from the processus vaginalisof the temporal bone, and is insertedinto the spine bordering the posteriormental foramen. ^ The stylo-maxillaryligament^ arises from the external side of styloid process, and Is in-serted into the posterior margin of the jaw near its angle.
