The Blood=vessels.—The ovarian arteries, leaving the aorta,enter the pelvis on their respective sides and, passing between thelaminae of the broad ligament a short distance under its upperedge, send brandies to the ovaries and tubes and a branch to thefundus, while the main trunk turns at a right angle downwardalongside the uterus, to anastomose with the uterine artery, giv-ing off on its way numerous brandies to the uterine wall.
