Lobos Island National Park

Lobos Island was formed by volcanic eruptions about 50,000 years ago and is only a few miles across making it easy to explore within a day. Although the Monk seals, after which the island was named (Lobos means seal in Spanish) have moved elsewhere, there is a wide variety of wildlife to include salt resistant plants and seabirds.
