TIME Square Car Park has been shortlisted for BBC North West Tonight's 'People's Choice Building of the Decade Award' – alongside The Mersey Gateway bridge. The multi-storey car park, which opened in the town centre in late 2017, is just one of 25 competitors in the running for the award, which sees viewers vote for their favourite modern building constructed in the past 10 years. Each night viewers can pick their favourite building from the five nominations in that region in an online vote on the BBC North West Tonight website. The final vote will open on Friday April 27 and will close on Friday May 3, with the overall winner being announced at the North West Property Awards, organised by Insider Media, on Thursday May 17.
