Secondary pelvic cancer being treated. Coloured computed tomography scan of an axial section through the pelvis (white) of a 60-year-old female patient showing a cancerous (malignant) lesion and a thermal ablation probe (right) in situ during treatment. This is a secondary cancer that has spread (metastasised) from a primary cancer in the breast. Thermal ablation is used to remove the cancer by using heat to vaporise the lesion.
