The form of the frond is ovate, bipinnate, densely white- powdered beneath, and copiously, although less so above; stalks also covered with silvery white powder. Veins frequently forked. Rhizoma erect and fasciculate. Length of frond eighteen inches. This species was introduced amongst orchids by Mr. Pass, gardener to Mr. Brocklehurst, of The Fence, near Macclesfield, several years ago.
