, Toscolano-Maderno, Lombardy, Italy - La Valle delle Cartiere, the Valley of the paper mills. Chimney of converted into a museum former paper mill Maina Inferiore. The paper mill was founded in the 15th century and lasted until 1962. Since the 14th century until the 20th century the valley was a center for paper production. Today countless ruins bear witness to the valley of the former industrial importance. The paper mills were operated by the current flowing through the valley river Tosolano.
